IISE Dallas-Fort Worth walked at the Dallas Heart Walk on September 14th, 2019. We had a great time, and more importantly, raised $135 for the American Heart Association. We can’t thank our members who donated enough – their donations really go a long way!

IISE DFW Receives Award of Merit!

The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers National Organization has awarded the IISE Dallas-Ft. Worth Chapter the Award of Merit for 2018. We take this time to thank everyone who helped organize an event or participated at an event in 2018! Your dedication to the organization has not gone unnoticed.

IISE DFW + UTA E-Week Meeting

On Tuesday, February 19th, we had our joint meeting with the UTA IISE student chapter on UTA’s campus in celebration of E-Week. We had a great time talking about the 4th Industrial Revolution and we hope you can join us for our next event!

BJ’s Brewhouse Social!
September 27th at 6:30 PM, we hosted a dinner social at BJ’s Brewhouse in Addison. It was a great time and we hope you can make it out to the next social!

Amazon Tour!
On Wednesday October, we headed to Amazon for a tour of their exotic fulfillment center near Fort Worth Alliance Airport!

It was a fantastic experience and we want to thank everyone who came out! It was a rainy day, but everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

UTA IMSE Department Award Banquet
The IIE Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Chapter leaders Josie Umoh, Chris Campbell, and Yuan Zhou attended the award banquet held by the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering (IMSE) at the College Park Center, The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) on the April 26th, 2018. They joined the IMSE faculty members and students, as well as the advisory board members to celebrate the outstanding achievements accomplished by the undergraduate and graduate students in various IE-related fields, including but not limited to, health care and hospital improvement, organic systems improvement, and predication-led policing. Prior to the banquet, the annual IMSE advisory board meeting was held to discuss a number of important topics for continuous improvement of IMSE programs and the development of IE workforce, including enrollment status, curriculum, internship programs, industry outreach, and so on.

Members’ Social and Dinner!
On Thursday, March 29th, the IISE DFW chapter joined up with the Texas A&M Commerce group for a social and dinner at Mi Cocina in Irving! We had an absolute blast, and we appreciate everyone for coming out and enjoying a nice evening with great food

The event last night was a big hit! We have photos and a description in the Events section. Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thank you to our chapter members who participated in the panel and offered great advice to the UT Arlington students.

Tuesday, February 20th at University of Texas-Arlington
Join us during Engineers Week as the IISE DFW Professional Chapter and the University of Texas-Arlington Chapter come together for our annual joint meeting! Networking and food will be in great supply, so spread the word.
There will be a presentation awarding UTA’s Outstanding IISE Junior and Outstanding IISE Senior, as well as a speaker/panel discussion to follow.
Don’t miss out on this event! Be sure to register so that we have an accurate head count and are able to make proper food and drink accommodations.
